Time, Existence and Life

July 29, 2008

It seems like we take so many things for granted in life.  For instance: time.  We are certain to fill our time with the things that are most important to us.  And somehow, while we are organizing our schedules, coordinating our calendars and running from meeting to meeting: Life just happens.

So I guess what we do with our time defines the type of people we are.  At this point, a litany of things could be listed to show how we spend our time.  And honestly, it would be easy to realize just how poorly we value our time… simply to exist.  Sadly, we are existing but not really living.

Time is a gift from God that allows us to experience living; and in truly living have life.  And yet, we never seem to have time for anything.

Now, it’s not my purpose here to ask you how you spend your time.  But I am curious: Are you truly living?

Tough questions.  But, questions we must ask ourselves from time to time.  I want to live in the time that God has given: Not just exist!  I’ve missed out too many times.  I want to really live… so, I think I’ll take the time!
